Here I am making a new quilt working with the same motif that I have been exploring for about two years.

After the composition was all pieced together (picture 2), I realized that I did not like the overall balance. I changed the shape in the left lower corner and immediately saw that it was much better now (picture 3).

Now I am thinking about redoing the right side. Maybe I will want to separate the elongated grey shapes from the big black shape (as in picture 4) and add another gray one on the right. I am not decided yet. If I go ahead with this change, I will have to redo some of those grey shapes so that they do not look akwardly chopped off.
