For this first issue I chose my "Cats' Prison" quilt simply because I wanted to show at least some blocks in greater detail to give a better view of the cats lurking in the "cells". Try to count them all. I will reveal the correct count later. Too bad you cannot see some cats' profiles that are quilted on the border - to be fair I will not count those.

When I make color decisions, sometimes I use color theory and a color wheel. But somehow I never follow them exactly. Here, for example, the "correct" triad would be green, violet and orange - I added blue. Or it could be a tetrad - blue, violet, orange, yellow, but I have illegally squeezed in green. I am constantly cheating the color wheel even when I am using it.
